Petrol and diesel cheaper in Haryana as compared to other states

Chandigarh, November 5 – Haryana Government under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has also reduced VAT on petrol and diesel prices so as to reduce the oil prices on the lines of Central Government.

After this decision, the price of petrol has come down from Rs 106.94 to Rs 95.27 in the entire State. Also, the diesel price has come down from Rs 98.60 to Rs 86.51.
Petrol and diesel prices are still higher in other states as compared to Haryana.  In Punjab, petrol is Rs 105.02, in Delhi the price of petrol is Rs 103.97. Similarly, petrol in Himachal is Rs 96.06.  Apart from this, the price of petrol in Rajasthan is Rs 111.10.  Diesel price in Punjab is Rs.88.76 and in Delhi the cost of diesel is Rs.86.67.  While in Rajasthan, the price of diesel is Rs 95.71. It is evident from the figures of these states that petrol and diesel is cheaper in Haryana and  the people of the State are getting benefit of this.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Diwali, the Central Government had announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel. Subsequently, Haryana Government also announced to reduce VAT in petrol and diesel in the State.  Now, its direct effect is evident in the State and the price of petrol and diesel is much lower in Haryana as compared to other states.
