- Chandigarh, June 16: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over the review meeting of the Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog held here today directed the officers of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department to arrange one hospital each in all the districts across the State for the timely treatment and care of destitute cows injured in road accidents. He said the timely treatment of every injured cow should be ensured in these hospitals.
- Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal and Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog Chairman, Sh. Sarvan Kumar Garg were also present on this occasion.
- While directing the officers concerned, Sh. Manohar Lal said that dedicated medical arrangements should be made for the treatment of the cows in at least one veterinary hospital at the district level as well.
- There should be a system to keep at least 50 cows in these hospitals and if any hospital is not able to make such an arrangement then an arrangement of a temporary hospital should also be established in a nearby cowshed and the arrangement for giving medical treatment should make under the supervision of a government veterinarian directed Sh. Manohar Lal.
- While reviewing the various works and new projects of Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog, the Chief Minister directed the officers of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department that the grant which is to be released to Gaushalas should be given on the recommendation of the Aayog.
- Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog is working with a dedicated spirit for the welfare of the cows, he added.
- Talking about making the gaushalas self-reliant, the Chief Minister also directed the officers to prepare an action plan for increasing the income of gaushalas. He also directed to prepare a plan to integrate Gaushalas with natural farming.
- Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog, Chairman, Sh. Sarvan Kumar Garg apprised the Chief Minister about the various works of the Commission. He informed that solar plants have been installed in 331 gaushalas of the state and the process of setting up solar plants in 229 gaushalas is in progress.
- In the review meeting Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Advisor to Chief Minister’s Resource Mobilization Cell, Sh. Yogendra Chaudhary, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Sh. Vikas Yadav, Director General, Dr. B.S. Laura and other officials including were present.
