Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Vijai Vardhan said that efforts are being made constantly to supply oxygen by the state government and soon sufficient amount of oxygen will be available in the State.

Chandigarh, April 29 – Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Vijai Vardhan said that efforts are being made constantly to supply oxygen by the state government and soon sufficient amount of oxygen will be available in the State.  In this regard, a train has started from Rourkela (Odisha), which will reach tomorrow.  Apart from this, administrative officers are also involved in proper arrangement and allocation so that people do not panic.

The Chief Secretary was chairing the meeting of Crisis Co-ordination Committee through video conferencing today where he took feedback from all the District Deputy Commissioners regarding the oxygen supply.  He instructed the Deputy Commissioners to maintain a continuous and smooth supply of available oxygen until additional oxygen is arranged.

He directed Sh. Vikas Yadav, who is looking after the supply of oxygen at the Panipat plant, that since the government has set a fresh oxygen quota for the districts, so the districts should be provided with oxygen according to the set quota.

It was informed in the meeting that 51 plants in the State will carry out oxygen filling work, out of which 28 plants are operational and filling oxygen regularly and other 17 plants will be operational soon.

Apart from this, 6 plants have applied for the license, which will be allowed soon. In this way, there will be an additional supply of around 4000 cylinders.

Sh. Vijai Vardhan said that about 72,000 patients have been home isolated in the State.  The team of doctors should visit their home  at least three days a week to monitor their health so that they can be provided with medical facilities on time as per need and the availability of beds etc. can be accurately calculated post analysing the situation.

Apart from this, the data on admission and discharge of patients should also be updated regularly and for this, the prescribed norms should be strictly followed.

He said that in the area where the number of patients are increasing, micro-containment zones should be created with immediate effect so that the ongoing pandemic can be controlled.  Also, strictly follow the night curfew and ensure that all shops are closed at 6 pm, except the essential commodities shops in the crowded areas.  He said that complaints are being received about the non-availability of funeral vans for last rites on the death of Corona infected patients from many places.  Therefore, the administrative officer should take special care so that no family should face such problem.

He said that all the Deputy Commissioners should send the compliance report of the decisions taken in the meeting held on 27th April, 2021

In the meeting, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Sh. P.K.  Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department Sh. Alok Nigam, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister  and Principal Secretary Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal and Director General of Police Sh. Manoj Yadava, including several senior officers were present.
