  • Chandigarh, April 29 – Amid surge of COVID-19 cases in the State, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal today visited several districts today and took the stock of health arrangements made to curb the virus spread there. He directed the authorities to take strict action against those who are found guilty for indulging in black marketing during the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • During his visit today the Chief Minister inspected the Oxygen plant at Ambala and inaugurated 30 new ICU beds at Kalpana Chawla Medical College in Karnal.
  • The Chief Minister first visited Ambala district and obtained information from the authorities about availability of medicines, general beds, oxygen beds, ventilator beds in hospitals, corona positive rate, home isolation, vaccination, oximeter, digital thermometer, micro and macro containment zone, remdesivir etc. The Chief Minister also inspected Trauma Centre and Oxygen Plant.
  • Later, during his visit to Jind district, the Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal  also inspected the civil hospital, vaccination centre, blood bank and laboratory and also reviewed the availability of stock and other arrangements. He urged the people present there to stay positive and the State Government is making all possible efforts to ensure that   there should be no shortage of any medical facility for COVID-19 patients. MLA, Jind Dr. Krishan Lal Middha was also present.
  • Deputy Commissioner Dr. Aditya Dahiya told the Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal that 126 cylinders have been seized during the 22 raids conducted to curb black marketing of oxygen cylinders and other essentials in the district. He said that if the corona infection increases further, the number of beds at the local Gangaputra hospital will be increased from 100 to 300.
  • After this, the Chief Minister reached Karnal and after taking stock of the arrangements there, he inaugurated 30 new ICU beds in Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College. MP Sh. Sanjay Bhatia and MLA, Gharaunda  Sh. Harvinder Kalyan accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit to Karnal.
  • While interacting with media persons, in Karnal, the Chief Minister said that now such a system has been made at the state level that the private hospital which registers itself Civil Surgeon’s Office will be able to treat the patient suffering from COVID-19.
  • He informed that the number of patients has increased due to COVID patients coming from Delhi, especially in the districts of NCR and GT Road.  With the surge in patient numbers, increasing the quantity of Remdesivir along with increasing the availability of Tocilizumab is also being ensured.
  • The Chief Minister said that the administration has been asked to increase surveillance to ensure that there is no black marketing of oxygen. He said that patients who need oxygen should be provided oxygen on a priority basis. He said that the footfall of patients will increase in Karnal because patients are coming from Delhi and also from other districts of the state.
  • Later, the Chief Minister reached Yamunanagar and took stock of the arrangements there. He held a review meeting with public representatives and officials and gave necessary directions.
  • During the visit to Yamunanagar, Haryana Education Minister, Sh.  Kanwar Pal, MLA Yamunanagar, Sh. Ghanshyam Dass Arora, Municipal Corporation, Mayor, Sh. Madan Chauhan and senior officers and poltical dignitaries were present.
