Taking progressive steps to develop Haryana into industrial hub of Aerospace and Defence sector, the state government is formulating a ‘Aerospace and Defence Policy’.
- Chandigarh, March 16– Taking progressive steps to develop Haryana into industrial hub of Aerospace and Defence sector, the state government is formulating a ‘Aerospace and Defence Policy’. This information was shared by Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala today after a conference jointly attended by the officers of Haryana Civil Aviation Department and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the stakeholders at Panchkula.
- He informed that a committee consisting of representatives of Civil Aviation Department, MSME Department, Industries Department and PHD Chamber of Commerce will be constituted under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Haryana, Dr. Saket Kumar to draft the policy within next 15-20 days after taking suggestions from the stakeholders. He said that the State Government intends to formulate the Aerospace and Defence Policy by May 1, 2021.
- The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds portfolio of Civil Aviation Department, had earlier Chaired the Stakeholders’ Conference to seek suggestions for formulating the ‘Aerospace and Defence Policy’.
- On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Secretary of Civil Aviation Department, Dr Saket Kumar along with representatives of renowned industries and Chairman and CEO of several multinationals were present.
