The Court of Additional District and Session Judge, Fatehabad has convicted Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Medical Officer in a corruption case and sentenced him to four years’ imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

Chandigarh, April 11– The Court of Additional District and Session Judge, Fatehabad has convicted Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Medical Officer in a corruption case and sentenced him to four years’ imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
Sharing the details, a spokesperson of the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau said that Dr Rajiv Kumar was arrested by the Bureau in a corruption case while he was posted at Community Health Centre, Bhuna in Fatehabad. A case was registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the year 2016.
The Court has awarded imprisonment of 3-years along with Rs 50000 fine to the guilty under section 7 and 4-years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 50000 under section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
