The Haryana Government has made all the arrangements at the mandi level for the procurement of Rabi crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

- Chandigarh,13 March: The Haryana Government has made all the arrangements at the mandi level for the procurement of Rabi crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The procurement of rabi crops will begin in two phases. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the State Government will start procurement of wheat and mustard from April 1 and procurement of barley, gram and pulses at MSP will start from April 10. If a transporter does not lift the crop from the market in 48 hours, then he will be fined.
- Sh. Dushyant Chautala held a meeting with senior officers associated with the procurement process of rabi crops. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. V Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. PK Das and Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Managing Director, HAFED, Sh. DK Behera, Director General, Agriculture, Sh. Hardeep Singh and other senior officers were present in the meeting. During the meeting the Deputy Chief Minister gave directions regarding timely lifting of the crop, smooth functioning of the procurement process and to ensure that no arthiya or farmer faces any problem. He said that farmers too should not face any problem in selling their crops at any stage.
- Deputy Chief Minister said that the State Government will procure every grain of wheat, mustard, barley, pulses and gram at MSP grown by farmers who have registered their crop on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal.
- Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers that the crop payment should reach the farmers’ accounts within 48 hours of submission of J-form by the farmers. Ensure adequate number of gunny bags, sewing machines, etc. in the mandis, he added.
- He said that suitable arrangements have been made for lifting the crops from the mandis on time.
- Transporters have been ordered to lift within 48 hours otherwise they should be ready to pay the fine, he added. Deputy Chief Minister said that so far seven and a half lakh farmers have registered to sell their crops. Farmers will be informed in advance to bring their crops to the mandis for sale. For timely payment of crops, the concerned authorities have been directed to verify the accounts of farmers and arthiyas.
