Inauguration of 5 projects completed at a cost of Rs. 2,872 crore at Sonipat
Chandigarh, April 4 – Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari said that not a single black spot will be allowed to remain in Haryana. Haryana Government will figure out all the black spots and accident prone areas where improvement is required. The Union Minister was speaking at the inauguration of 5 road projects completed at a cost of Rs. 2,872 crore during a programme organized in Sonipat.
He inaugurated Jind-Gohana NH-352A road built at a cost of Rs. 132 crore, Bhiwani-Mundhal-Jind NH-709A road built at a cost of Rs. 183 crore, Jhajjar-Loharu NH-334B built at a cost of Rs. 136.25 crore, UP/Haryana Border to Gohana NH-334B built at a cost of Rs. 1,020 crore and Mukarba Chowk to Panipat NH-44 constructed at a cost of Rs. 1,400 crores.
After the inauguration he announced gifts for different districts of Haryana. During the programme He approved the construction of Jind-Gohana-Sonipat-Shamli road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 600 crores. Apart from this, asked to get the road alignment done from Chautala to Shamli of East-West Corridor Sirsa. Along with this, he was also asked to call for a report regarding the construction of a flyover in Panchkula city. The Union Minister said that whatever demand related to roads comes from the Haryana Government will be fulfilled. In 40 years there is no such announcement which has not been fulfilled.
Haryana is progressing under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal
Union Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari said that water, electricity, transport and communication are very important for the development of any state. Wherever these four things develop, employment opportunities will be created, industries will also be there and progress is also certain. He said that he was glad that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, Haryana is continuously moving ahead on the path of development. There is good development in agriculture and industry. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, many roads will be built and eventually Haryana will also become number 1 in the roads network.
Journey from Amritsar to Delhi in 4 hours
Union Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari said that roads are being developed continuously in the country. Due to the roads, in a few days the distance from Delhi to Amritsar can be covered in just 4 hours. Similarly, Delhi to Katra will take 4 hours. Referring to the Atal Tunnel, he said that earlier it used to take three and a half hours to cross this place on the Manali-Rohtang route but now this distance can be covered in just 9 minutes. People of Haryana from Delhi will be able to reach Mumbai in just 12 hours. The distance from Delhi to Chandigarh can be covered in 2 hours. Such a network of roads will be laid that the traffic becomes very smooth.
Proposal sought from Haryana for pod taxi
On the demand of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to start pod taxis in the state, Union Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari said that his department is working on it. It will start pod taxi from Delhi to Sonipat and Panipat for 250 people, for this the Haryana Government should send a proposal to the Central Government, he said.
Haryana should insist on electric vehicle
Union Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari said that we should emphasize on making Haryana green. Green fuel should be used. Ethanol and electric vehicles should be run instead of conventional petrol and diesel cars. He asked the Chief Minister to emphasize on running electric vehicles. This will also reduce pollution and reduce fuel consumption. A car can be driven for half a penny with ethanol.
Development of highways is also good for farmers: Sh. VK Singh
Union Minister of State, General VK Singh said that today is a day loaded with various gifts for Haryana. On this day 5 schemes are being inaugurated for Haryana. There has been a vast improvement in Haryana after the government led by Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi came to power in 2014. Highways are being built continuously, due to which employment opportunities are increasing, along with it the farmers are also getting benefited. This is the picture of New India and New Haryana, which is moving towards progress.
Within 15 days, a report will be sent to central government after identifying the black spots : Deputy Chief Minister
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the focus of the Central Government is to make Haryana motorable and transportable. In view of this, various projects will improve the connectivity of the state. The work of NHAI is going on fast in Haryana, due to which work has been done to connect Haryana with every corner of the country. He said that the Green Field Corridor will work to further improve the connectivity of Haryana. He demanded the construction of a highway from Hisar via Badhra, Satnali and Mahendragarh for heavy road transportation. The Deputy Chief Minister said that within 15 days, all the black spots and accident prone areas in the state will be identified and a report will be given to the Central Government.
