Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed grief over the demise of CEO of the Film and Television Producers Guild Kulmeet Makkar who passed away at Dharamshala today morning after suffering a massive heart attack. He was at Dharamshala since lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chief Minister lauded the contributions of Makkar to the entertainment industry and said that this would be an inspiration for the younger generation.

Jai Ram Thakur prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Makkar had spent more than three decades in the entertainment industry, with stints at Saregama and Reliance Entertainment as founder CEO of Big Music and Home Entertainment.
He was also President and CEO at Shreya Entertainment before taking up the position as Guild’s CEO in 2010.
