CM dedicates Rs. 7 Crore CT Scan and Rs. 1.20 Crore X-ray machine at LBSMC
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur dedicated 128 Slice CT scan worth rupees seven crore and Ceiling mounted X-ray machine worth Rs. 1.20 crore at Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College (LBSMC) Ner Chowk in Mandi district today.
While addressing the faculty and students on the occasion, Jai Ram Thakur said that this CT Scan was the most modern machine of the entire region. He said that this would facilitate the people of Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Bilsapur, Hamirpur and Chamba districts of the State.
Chief Minister said that the Medical College has rendered yeoman services during the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that not only this the College has emerged as one of the best medical colleges of the region in providing best health care facilities to the people of the region. He said that work was also in progress to provide a project worth Rs. 45 crore in cooperation with the State and Centre Governments regarding Cancer Care Centre. He said that this would ensure better cancer care facilities to the people the region.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Rs. 6.10 crore Covid-19 Make Shift Hospital was being setup at Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College Ner Chowk . He said that now the Government has decided to ensure effective use of this makeshift hospital after the pandemic was over.
Chief Minister also dedicated Rs. 94 lakh TMT, EHCO, Broncoscope medical equipment and Rs. 37 Lakh CBCT and X- ray in Dental Department of the College.
MLA Inder Singh Gandhi welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
Principal Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. Medical College Prof. R. C. Thakur also welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him regarding various facilities being provided by the College to the patients.
Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma, MLA Vinod Kumar, Chairman Zila Parishad Mandi Pal Verma, Vice Chancellor Atal Medical Research University Prof. Surender Kashyap, Deputy Commissioner Rugved Thakur, SP Shalini Agnihotri, Joint Director Medical College D. C. Thakur, Sr. Medical Superintendent Medical College Dr. Jiwanand Chauhan were present on the occasion among others.
