Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 52 developmental projects worth Rs. 225 crore at Panjehra in Nalagarh Assembly Constituency of Solan district during his one day tour to the constituency.
Later, while addressing a public meeting at Panjehra (Sobhan Majra), Chief Minister announced opening of BDO Office at Ramshahar, upgradation of CHC Ramshahar to 50 bedded CHC, opening of Fire Sub Station at Ramshahar and upgradation of CHC Nalagarh to 200 bedded Civil Hospital. He also announced opening of ITI at Andhrola, opening of PHC at Doli and upgradation of Health Sub Centre Panjehra to Primary Health Centre.
Chief Minister said that Rs. 225 crore inauguration and foundation stone shows that the present State Government was always considerate towards the developmental demands of the area. He said that Rs. 5.60 crore Nalagarh bus stand was one of the biggest bus stands of the State and would ensure smooth plying of buses, for which the present State Government has ensured provision of budget.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government has completed four years of its tenure in December last year. He said the Nalagarh area was the first area of the State which provided lead of over 40,000 votes in the last Lok Sabha elections. He said that the Congress leaders even politicized sensitive issue of vaccine against the Corona virus. He said that the State today has over 50 oxygen plants as compared to only two during the Congress tenure. He said that there were only 50 ventilators in the State when the pandemic broke out, whereas today the State has over 1000 ventilators.
Chief Minister said that over 53 lakh masks were prepared by the women in the State and distributed free of cost to the needy. He said that doctors, paramedical staff, Asha Workers, Anganwari workers and other frontline workers played a major role in tackling this situation. He said that it was due to the indigenous vaccine provided free of cost by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that today the Nation and the State was gradually coming out from this situation.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress Party has virtually lost its base in the entire country and in the State also it is a completely divided house. He said that in Uttar Pradesh Congress could win only two seats, which speaks of the popularity of the BJP and complete rejection of the Congress by the people of the country. He said that the main focus of the present State Government was to provide benefit of government schemes to the persons living at the lowest ebb. He said that 7.50 lakh beneficiaries would now benefit from Old Age Pension Schemes and an amount of Rs. 1,300 crore would be spent. He said that Gender Budget Statement has been presented for the 1st time along with other budget documents.
Chief Minister said that monthly honorarium of Anganwari Workers, Anganwari Assistant and Asha workers, sewing teachers, mid-day meal workers, Water Carriers, Jal Rakshak, Multi-Purpose Workers, Para fitters and Pump Operators have been increased considerably. He said that additional free cylinders would be given under Grihini Suvidha Yojana by spending an additional amount of Rs. 50 crore on it. He said that registration for HIMCARE would now be renewable after three years. He said that daily wages of daily wagers would be increased by Rs 50 per day to Rs 350 per day. He said that Rs 31,000 were being provided under ‘Shagun Yojna’ to a girl of poor BPL families at the time of their marriage. He said that over 20,000 stray cattle have been taken to Gau Sadans and cow sanctuaries in the State.

Chief Minister also inaugurated Rs. 4.44 crore augmentation/ providing Lift Water Supply Scheme Ramshehar and group of village in tehsil Nalagarh, Rs. 4.29 crore construction of 7 tube-wells in Nalagarh Area Phase-II (Tubewell Kharuni, Riya, Kalyanpur Gujjaran, Anderli Bhatouli, Kalibari, Abhipur, Taprian Gujjaran and Kotla Palahi), Rs. 4.55 crore construction of 7 tube-wells in Nalagarh Area Phase-I (Tube-well Hatra, Kothewali, Ratepur, Rampur Gujjran, Kashmirpur Gujjaran, Rajpura and Nichli Malwana), Rs. 90 lakh improvement of distribution of LWSS Baroona in tehsil Nalagarh, Rs. 1.41 crore augmentation of LWSS Bhogpur Bhanglan in tehsil Nalagarh and Rs. 12.18 crore 66/33/11KV, 1×20 MVA Sub Station Baglehar in tehsil Nalagarh.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was always concerned about the development of the areas that need special attention. He said that the State government was ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted even during the pandemic. He said that Medical Devices Park was coming up in the area which would give big boost to the development of the area. He said that the BJP has repeated its Government of four States where elections were held recently. He said that the Government would sympathetically consider waiving off penalty from Truck Operators.
Former MLA K.L. Thakur, while welcoming the Chief Minister in Nalagarh constituency, said that the people of the area were fortunate that Chief Minister has today dedicated developmental projects worth Rs. 225 crore for the constituency. He also detailed developmental demands of the area. He also urged the Chief Minister for redressing various issues related to Truck Unions.
Several prominent people of the area left the Congress and joined BJP in presence of the Chief Minister.
