Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stone of developmental projects worth Rs. 26.31 crore at Gadagusaini in Seraj Vidhan Sabha Area in district Mandi, today.
Chief Minister inaugurated developmental projects of Rs. 8.70 crore for Gadagusaini area. He inaugurated Khauli to Reshan road completed with an expenditure of Rs. 2.23 crore and Shelad Nala, Thachadhar and Rampur road completed with an expenditure of Rs.5.28 crore. He also flagged off HRTC buses on these roads.
Jai Ram Thakur also inaugurated Lift Water Supply scheme for village Mathyani in Gram Panchayat Ghat of Rs. 53.20 lakh, Lift Water Supply scheme for village Khauli and Nehara in Gram Panchayat Khauli completed with an outlay of Rs. 66.54 lakh.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of various developmental projects of Rs. 17.61 crore which included foundation stone laying of Community Health Centre (CHC) building at Gadagusaini to cost Rs. 13.53 crore and bridge at Gadagusaini, Thanwaddi and Thata road of Rs. 1.79 crore. He also laid foundation stone of Forest Inspection Hut at Gadagusaini to cost Rs. 80 lakh and Inspection hut of Jal Shakti Department at Gadagusaini to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.49 crore.
Chief Minister announced opening of police chowki at Gadagusaini, opening of ITI at Gadagusaini, Primary school at Jaffarkot, upgradation of Government high school Khaulli to Government Senior Secondary School, upgradation of Government Middle School Chudathach to Government High School and upgradation of Veterinary Dispensary Gadagusaini to Veterinary Hospital. He announced opening of Health Sub Center at Dimber Chadi. He said that the Panchayats of this area would brought under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein Scheme.
While addressing a public meeting at Gadagusaini, the Chief Minister said that roads play a vital role in providing connectivity alongwith facilitating farmers in conveniently transporting their produce to the market. The state government is laying special emphasis on strengthening road infrastructure in the state and to provide each and every village with road connectivity. He said that work on construction, metalling, tarring and expansion of roads was under progress with an expenditure of Rs. 40.22 crore in the area, where as works worth Rs. 17.70 crore were already completed in the area. Apart from this, estimate for construction of bridges with a cost of Rs. 4.58 crore have been sent for approval, he added.
He said that foundation stone laying of bridge at Gadagusaini, Thanwaddi and Thata road would fulfil long pending demand of the people of the area. He said that various drinking water projects of about Rs. 121 crore were being constructed to provide drinking water supply to 25 Panchayats of Seraj and Balichowki block, which would benefit a large number of people of the area. He said that the foundation stone laying of Community Health Centre building would help in strengthening the health infrastructure and provide better health facilities to people of the area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that eight helipads have been constructed in Seraj area. He said that 7047 women of the area have benefited under Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna and 1,963 new applications under Social Security Pension have been sanctioned for people of the area.
He said that an Industrial Training Institute, Primary Heath Centre, Senior Secondary School, Tehsil office, Junior Engineer Office and residential buildings worth Rs. 29.90 crore have been completed in Chattri area and inauguration of these would soon be performed.
Chief Minister said that SDM office, Block Development Office and Sub Tehsil office have been opened in Balichowki. He said that Thalot-Panjai-Thachi-Somgaad road of Rs. 25.82 crore and Janjheli-Magrunala-Chattri road of Rs. 22.62 crore were being constructed. Hanogi- Kolanala Bridge over Beas river of Rs. 24.88 crore and Mini Secretariat building to cost Rs. 27.95 crore in Thunag were being constructed. Construction work of Mini Secretariat buildings at Jhanjeli and Balichowki were under progress and Seri Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Centre of rupees five crore was also being constructed at Balichowki. Tourism Cultural Centre of Rs. 23.50 crore was also being established at Dimaktaru.
He said that ropeway project with an expenditure of Rs. 50 crore was being constructed at Mata Baglamukhi Temple in Pandoh, construction of residential premises at Civil Hospital Gadaugsaini with cost of Rs. 1.11 crore and Bus Stand was also being constructed at cost of Rs. 2 crore in Thunag.
MLA Banjar Surender Shourie welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed about the various development works of the area.
Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society and Hospital Welfare Section Chairperson Dr. Sadhana Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Arindam Chaudhary , SP Shalini Agnihotri and representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions were also present on the occasion.
