CM pays floral tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 77th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue at Sadbhavana Chowk Chotta Shimla.

While interacting with the media, Chief Minister said that contributions of the late Prime Minister in the IT, telecom and education sector would always be remembered. He said that during his tenure as the Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi symbolised a change in the arena of politics, economy, and morality in public life, through consent and conciliation, participation, and persuasion.

MPP and Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, State Congress President Kuldeep Rathore, Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Satya Kondal and other leaders also paid their floral tributes to the former Prime Minister on his birth anniversary.
