Fourth session of vaccination for 18-44 age group on 27th May
A spokesperson of the Health Department said here today that the fourth day of vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group would be held on 27th May, 2021 in the State. For this, 214 vaccination centers have been established in the State. To get themselves registered and for booking appointment, sessions were published on Cowin portal throughout the State on 25th May, 2021 and 21235 persons booked their schedule till now.
The spokesperson informed that vaccination would be given only to those who have booked their schedule on the Cowin portal beforehand. He said that to avoid unnecessary crowd at these centers, all the persons who have booked their schedule should come at the vaccination center as per their schedule only. He also urged people to observe Covid appropriate behaviour at the centers.
He further informed that the next date of vaccination for 18-44 years would be 31st May, 2021 and sessions for that day would be published on the Cowin portal on 29th May, 2021. He said that as many as 1870977 people have been administered first dose of Covishield in the State. A total of 23,06,478 doses that have been supplied by the central government have been administered across the State. Out of these 83,614 Health care workers and 80,605 Front line workers have had their first jab. A total of 4,35,501 second doses have been given in the State. He further added that 16,46,548 people of 45 plus age group have been covered under the vaccination drive and out of these 3,24,743 persons of more than 45 years of age have been administered second dose. A total of 60,210 persons of the age group 18-44 years have been administered the first dose of the vaccine procured by the State from its own resources.
