A spokesperson of the Health Department said here today that Jeevan Dhara Mobile Health and Wellness centre is ensuring to provide a complete range of health care services for populations living in remote, inaccessible, un-served and underserved areas. Considering the unfavourable topography ‘Jeevan Dhara’ is a step towards achieving this highly difficult aim. These Mobile Medical Use (MMUs) are providing services in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. He further added that this service is being utilized extensively in the Covid pandemic management for RAT sampling in seven districts of the State since 11th May, 2021. Till 23rd May, 3366 samples have been taken across these districts. Out of these, 395 patients have been found positive for Covid -19.
District Kangra has done maximum number of sampling, he added. The customised mobile vans have collected more than two lakh samples since the start of epidemic. He appealed the public to come forward for testing through these mobile vans as early testing and treating shall definitely help to control the disease and improve outcomes.
