A spokesperson of the State government has contradicted the rumours regarding guidelines of the government on social media. He said that the rumours are baseless and people should strictly adhere to guidelines issued by the State Government to arrest the spread of Covid-19.
The Spokesperson said that as per the guidelines all market, shops, commercial establishments including malls, gyms, sports complex, swimming pools etc. shall remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays till 10th May, 2021 except shops dealing with items of daily need such as fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products and other daily essential goods, pharmacies, etc. However, restaurant, dhabas, hotels would operate in accordance with the SOPs issued by the Department of Tourism and adherence to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. He said that Government had also decided to restrict social gatherings during marriages etc. upto 20 persons.
All the offices of Government Departments, PSUs, local bodies, autonomous bodies including H.P. Secretariat will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays and will operate with 50 percent attendance till 10th May, 2021 except those dealing with essential services such as health, police, fire, banks, electricity, water and sanitation, public transport, telecom, etc.
Inter-State and Intra State movement of public transport would be allowed subject to 50 percent of the seating capacity and adherence to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and as per SOPs or orders issued by the Department of Transport.
The Spokesperson said that the rumours are misleading and he requested the people to follow the guidelines issued by the government.
