A spokesperson of the Health Department said here today that in addition to government hospitals, 39 private hospitals have also been identified and enlisted as private Covid Vaccination Centers (CVCs) in the State which are registered in the Co-WIN portal for providing vaccination services in the State.
He said that presently only one private CVC i.e. Fortis hospital, Kangra has procured Covid vaccine and would soon start the vaccination for the general public from tomorrow onwards. This private hospital would be first in the state to provide Covid-19 vaccine as private CVC and has fixed the rate of Covishield as Rs. 850 per dose. Sanjeevani Jindal hospital at district Kinnaur is another private CVC which is providing vaccination to the employees of Jindal Hydro Power Project under industrial workplace CVC in the State.
He said that beneficiaries of age group 18-44 years may get themselves vaccinated at the private CVCs as well after paying the due charges fixed by the private institutions.
He said that the State has administered first dose of vaccination to 1975780 people till 2nd June 2021. He said that to vaccinate people free of cost through Government Covid vaccination centers many vaccination centers have also been established in the State.
