The Chairman 6th State Finance Commission, Satpal Singh Satti presided over the 2nd meeting of Commission to finalize the questionnaires designed for collecting information from PRIs and ULBs.
During the meeting, Chairman stressed on disposal and processing of rural and urban waste. For this purpose, he directed to constitute a Sub-Committee under the Chairmanship of Pr. Secretary (UD) comprising Director RD&PR, Director UD, Director IT and Adviser Planning as its members.
Chairman said that Commission aims to find solution of new challenges being faced in rural as well as urban areas. He said that presently the waste generation in rural as well as urban areas is almost similar and suggested to frame long term plan for scientific disposal of this waste.
This meeting was attended by the Members of 6th State Finance Commission, Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Sanjay Gupta, Pr. Secretary Urban Development Rajneesh, Member Secretary 6th State Finance Commission and Advisor Planning Dr. Basu Sood and other Officers.
