- Chandigarh, February 26: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the State Government is fully prepared for crop procurement season and barley crop will be procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the first time. Also, six crops including wheat, mustard, paddy, sunflower, gram, and barley will be procured at the MSP for the first time in the upcoming procurement season in the state.
- Sh. Dushyant Chautala, who also holds the portfolio of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, said that better arrangements will be made for the procurement of crops in the mandis and this time the payment for the crops will be deposited in the accounts of the farmers in 48 hours.
- Urging the farmers to get their crops registered on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that every grain of the crop registered by the farmers on the portal will be procured at MSP. He said that as soon as the Arthiya issues the J-form to the farmer, payment will be paid to the farmers in 48 hours. He said that during the previous procurement season, the State Government had made adequate arrangements to procure paddy and made payments on time. He said that the State Government has been working for the benefit of the farmers and will continue to do so.
- While speaking about the budget, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the budget will be presented keeping in mind the interest of all sections of society. In addition, the budget will focus on strengthening the state’s infrastructure, he added. He said that suggestions are being taken through departmental meetings. He said that due to the previous year’s model budget presented keeping in mind the interests of the public; the state’s tax collection was also surplus despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only this, facilities were provided to the public without any difficulty and no one had to suffer.
