State Government committed towards welfare of weaker sections of society CM
Delegation of State BJP Scheduled Castes Morcha calls on CM
The State Government was committed for the welfare and socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, particularly the people belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the delegation of State BJP Scheduled Castes Morcha led by the newly appointed Chairman HP State Commission for Scheduled Castes Virender Kashyap here today.
Chief Minister said that the Scheduled Castes community in the State was playing a major role in development of the State and the Country. He said that the BJP was also fortunate to have benevolence of Scheduled Castes communities, which was one of the reason that party has become a biggest political party of the world. He said that the State Government was always striving hard to ensure that the scheduled castes get due representation in the Government. He said that it was during the tenure of the BJP that the budget under Scheduled Castes Special Component Plan was enhanced in proportion to the Scheduled Castes population.
Jai Ram Thakur said that about 15,000 houses would be constructed in the State during the current financial year under different housing schemes. He said that majorities of the houses would be constructed for the Scheduled castes families. He said that several schemes such as Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Sahara Yojna and HIMCARE have benefitted lakhs of scheduled castes families during this period. He urged the Scheduled Castes community to give their wholehearted support to the State Government, so that BJP can once again form the Government in 2022.
Health Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal said that State Government under the able and dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was committed for welfare of the weaker sections of the society. He said that several schemes have been launched to improve the socio-economic conditions of the weaker sections of the society.
Chairman Scheduled Castes Commission Virender Kashyap while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked the Chief Minister for constituting this Commission for ensuring empowerment of the Scheduled Castes of the State.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, BJP National Secretary Vivek Sonkar, Chairperson Shaksham Gudiya Board Rupa Sharma, Chairperson H.P. State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd. (HPSCARDB) Shimla Shashi Bala and other office bearers of the Morcha were also present on the occasion among others.
