Jugal Kishore Sharma assumes charge as Chairman of Punjab Seed Corporation in presence of Speaker, Ministers and other leaders

SAS Nagar, January 7:

Former MLA and senior congress leader Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma today assumed the charge as Chairman of the Punjab State Seed Corporation in the presence of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana K.P. Singh, Punjab Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, several MLAs and other senior leaders of the party, here at Kheti Bhawan, Phase-6, Mohali.

Congratulating Jugal Kishore Sharma on his new appointment, Speaker and Finance Minister recalled the outstanding services rendered by him for strengthening the party at the grassroots level during his tenure as MLA and on other constitutional posts besides party. Expressing hope that Mr. Sharma will implement state government’s ambitious plan to further promote agro and auxiliary occupations, both the leaders said that the seed corporation would immensely benefit from his leadership and visionary approach.

While, expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for shouldering a responsibility on him, Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma assured that he would discharge his responsibilities and duties as Chairman with utmost dedication. Mr. Sharma had represented Amritsar (North) assembly segment in Punjab Vidhan Sabha from 2002 to 2007. He also served as Chairman Khadi Board and Improvement Trust Amritsar in 2003 and 2004, respectively.

Later, Punjab Cabinet Ministers Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Mr. O.P. Soni and Former Member Parliament from Chandigarh Mr. Pawan Bansal also visited the office to congratulate Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma.
