As many as 90 LED Screens would be established in all the district headquarters, assembly constituencies’ headquarters and important places of the State so that people of the State could witness the historic occasion of dedication of Atal Tunnel Rohtang by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3rd of this month. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today while addressing Ministers, State BJP President, MLAs and BJP candidates for assembly elections-2017 and other office bearers of BJP of the State through video conferencing from Shimla.
Chief Minister said that the party functionaries must ensure that maximum of 200 persons at each venue witness this historic event by maintaining social distancing and using face masks. He said that efforts should also be made to connect maximum people by various means of social media to watch the inaugural ceremony and address of the Prime Minister.
Jai Ram Thakur said that during the Covid-19 pandemic this was the third public function of the Prime Minister after Ayodhya, which shows the importance of this tunnel for the Nation and also the benevolence of the Prime Minister towards the people of the State. He said the event would have been a magnificent but corona pandemic has forced us to strictly follow the norms of social distancing.
Chief Minister also urged the party functionaries to ensure adequate coverage in the social media regarding messages welcoming the Prime Minister for inaugurating the Atal Tunnel Rohtang and once the same is inaugurated expressing gratitude towards the Prime Minister for the same.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister would be inaugurating the Atal Tunnel at 10 AM on 3rd October, address public meeting at Sissu in Lahaul-Spiti district at 1200 Noon and address public meeting at Solang at 1.15 PM.
State BJP President Suresh Kashyap, while welcoming the Chief Minister, urged party functionaries to ensure maximum participation of the event at their respective places to make it a mega show.
Organizing Secretary Pawan Rana while welcoming the Chief Minister said that party workers should trend #ataltunnelrohtang on their social media handle.
