Chandigarh, June 22: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday condoled the recent demise of Parveen Kaur (52), the elder sister of Assistant Editor Hindustan Times Gurpreet Singh Nibber, who passed away here due to protracted illness. She is survived by her mother, a sister and a brother.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the death of your sister, which is extremely shocking and tragic.”
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends, Captain Amarinder Singh also prayed to the Almighty to give courage to them to bear irreparable loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Raveen Thukral also mourned the passing away of Parveen Kaur and extended his sympathies to the family.
According to the family sources, bhog and antim ardas would be held on June 26 (Saturday) from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Gurdwara Sacha Dhan, Phase 3B1, Mohali.
