178542 MT Wheat Procured on third day

Chandigarh, April 12:

The Government agencies  have procured 178542 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on  third day of precourment.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said  that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 178542  MT of wheat .

 He further  said that PUNGRAIN has procured 46599 metric tonnes, MARKFED 44615  metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 43302 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 27089 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 600 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 16337 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.

Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 247505 MT.
