284561 MT Wheat Procured on 25th day
Chandigarh, May 4:
The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 284561 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 25th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 284561 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 284492 MT of wheat 69 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 71443 metric tonnes, MARKFED 72116 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 62253 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 39455 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 33737 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 5487 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 12067743 MT.
