440371.346 MT Paddy Procured on 17th day: Ashu

Chandigarh, 19 October:

The Government procurement agencies have procured 434837.346  metric tonnes of paddy in Punjab on 17th  day of procurement of this Kharif Season.

Disclosing this here today, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Punjab Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu said the Government procurement agencies procured total 4104809.857   MT and 33083 MT paddy procured by private Millers.

He said  that a total of 4302841.675 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the state so far and out of which 4137892.857  metric tonnes of paddy has been Procured.

Mr. Ashu said department has cleared 4824.36 Cr. Rupee of farmers.
