Bittu appeals Lok Sabha Speaker to ask to all political parties to unite for solution of farmers’ issues
Chandigarh/New Delhi, March 17- Member Parliament Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu today appealed the Lok Sabha speaker Mr. Om Birla to ask all political parties and leaders to unite for solution of farmers’ issues, who were protesting against the three farm Laws for last few months.
In his address during the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament today Ludhiana MP Mr. Bittu said that Lok Sabha Speaker, who also belongs to a farmer family, was capable of playing a sturdy role for the same and must take this initiative.
Mr. Bittu said that the Punjab state and its Farmers always contributed whole heartedly whenever the country was in dire need whether it was food products or protecting the borders of the country.
While voicing the concern of RDF issue Mr. Bittu said that Rs. 900 Crore of Rural Development Fund (RDF) has not been provided by the centre to Punjab which was the genuine right of State. He also said that centre Government has also stopped the milling of 62 lakh paddy which was a huge loss for the state.
Mr. Bittu said that while the procurement season of wheat is going to start from April 1st but the centre government has not provided the Jute Bags in required quantity, besides the specifications has also been changed for procurement due to that the state is facing tough situation.
Stressing that the Punjab is a border state where instances of sending RDX by the Pakistan using Drones has been increased manifolds after the starting of farmers struggle. He said that if the situation in Punjab deteriorated again then the central government would be responsible.
