Desh Bhagat University decides to confer doctorate degree (honorary) to Raj Kumar Verka

The degree will be awarded on December 11 in a special convocation

Desh Bhagat University has decided to confer Doctorate Degree (Honorary) to Punjab Medical Education and Research, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Raj Kumar Verka.

Giving this information, a spokesperson of Desh Bhagat University said that Ph.D. degree (honorary) will be presented to Dr. Verka on December 11, 2021 during a special convocation. This honor is being given to him for his social work.

It is to be noted that Dr. Verka, throughout his life has worked with unwavering dedication, sincerity and integrity for the poor, minorities and the downtrodden people of the state. As the Vice-Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, he played a vital role in ensuring and protecting the rights of the people. Dr. Verka has devoted his life for the welfare of the marginalized people.
