Harpal Singh Cheema hands over appointment letters to 21 Senior Executive of Milkfed

Chandigarh, May 27:

Punjab Cooperation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Friday, distributed appointment letters to 21 successful candidates for the post of Senior Executive for marketing and finance streams of Milkfed. Cheema congratulated the candidates and exhorted them to work with full dedication and honesty. The process of final selection for 52 posts of Assistant Manager is underway.

Cooperation Minister informed that the Punjab Government has approved 580 more posts for recruitment for various entry levels for which Milkfed shall undertake the recruitment process, shortly. The performance of Milkfed was lauded by the Cooperation Minister. He assured full support to Milkfed Punjab in achieving its mission and vision.

Cheema said that the annual turnover of Milkfed, during the year 2020-2021 at Rs. 4463 crores and keeping the growth momentum intact, Milkfed has recorded a turnover of Rs. 4882 crore during the FY 2021-2022.

Special Chief Secretary (Cooperation) Ravneet Kaur congratulated and welcomed the new entrants in Milkfed. She advised them to work hard and make their best contribution towards achieving Milkfed’s envisaged targets. She further informed that all Verka Dairies of Milkfed shall be modernized further to improve the quality of Milk and Milk Products.  It was also assured by her that Govt. will ensure to provide milk producers and consumers with the best services.

Milkfed M.D. Kamaldeep Singh Sangha informed the press that inspite of all manpower crunch, Milkfed has been witnessing a sharp increase in the sales of all Verka products and the growth rate of each product has been phenomenal. During the Financial Year 2021-22, Milkfed has recorded an annual increase of 10% in Packaged Milk, 38% in Curd, 24% in Lassi and 30% in Kheer as compared to Financial Year 2020-21. Milkfed also managed to record an increase in sale by 82% in Dairy Whitener, 31% in UHT Milk, 14% in Ghee, 39% in Sweetened Flavoured Milk (PIO) and 39% in Lassi (Tetra Pack). He expressed full confidence that with the induction of new manpower Milkfed shall achieve more milestones in future.
