Higher Education Minister Pargat Singh Conducts surprise checking Of DPI (Colleges) Office

Strict action if inordinate delay found on part of any employee: Pargat Singh

Chandigarh, November 2

Higher Education and Languages Minister Pargat Singh today conducted a surprise check of the DPI (Colleges) Headquarters at Sikhya Bhawan, Mohali.

The Cabinet Minister personally visited the branches of the head office to access the functioning of various branches. He also checked the attendance of staff in the offices and asked the employees to be punctual. The Minister also visited NCC branch and had information about NCC cadets and its activities in the colleges.

Pargat Singh said that he has got feedback from general public regarding inordinate delay in their work by some employees. He warned the staff that such behaviour will not be tolerated at any cost. He said that services should be provided to people within the stipulated time period.

The Higher Education Minister told the staff that people should not face any sort of inconvenience, adding that be transparency and clean administration should be ensured. He said that indiscipline would not be tolerated at any cost.
