Chandigarh, September 14
To provide computer education to the students without any hindrance, the Punjab Government has decided to upgrade the e-labs of the high and senior secondary schools. On the directions of the Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, department has also released grant in this regard.
According to a spokesperson of the Punjab school education department, during the first stage, face of the e-labs of 2682 high and senior secondary schools will be transformed. An amount of Rs 2,01,15,000 has been released for this. According to the spokesperson this amount would be spent for the maintenance and repair of all the equipments related to the computers installed in the e-labs. The aim is not only to keep the computer education of the students running smoothly but also to provide a good environment in those labs. In a letter, department has directed the District Education Officers (Senior Secondary) to ensure proper utilization of this grant, said spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson under the leadership of School Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla more than 70% schools in the state have been converted into smart schools which has resulted in complete transformation of these schools. Now the state government is taking steps to raise the standard of these schools.
