Chandigarh, 16 November
Reacting to a recent statement of SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal that ‘don’t punish Akali Dal for his ‘mistakes’ in the sacrilege case’, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa on Tuesday said that inadvertent mistakes can be forgiven but intentional sins of Badal are unjustifiable and can’t be forgiven.
S. Randhawa said that Sukhbir Badal’s confession indicates that Akalis are now afraid of being punished for their nefarious mistakes. He said that people of Punjab hate the Badal family and Akali Dal so much that SAD leaders have left with no other options besides to plea for mercy.
Lambasting Badal for his persistent lies, S. Randhawa said that Badal is shedding crocodile’s tears. “Sukhbir has no concern for Sikhism or Punjab and his sole aim is to expand his business and fill his coffers by mafia rule. The Sikh community will never forgive the Badal family for their sins.”
S. Randhawa said that Badal indirectly admitted the blunders he had committed during his 10-year rule in Punjab on several occasions. Earlier, he had visited Golden Temple seeking forgiveness for “inadvertent mistakes” without any punishment from Akal Takhat.
