Chandigarh, April 15:
Punjab Medical Education and Research Minister Mr. Om Prakash Soni today directed to complete the vaccination of Medical Colleges’ staff as soon as possible.
In a meeting here to review the functioning of Medical Education Department at his official residence, Mr. Soni said that the vaccination of the staff of medical colleges should be expedited so that it can be completed sooner. He said that immunization campaign for the general public could be improved and run smoothly.
The Cabinet Minister also directed the principals and medical superintendents of the medical colleges to improve the health care facilities of the patients suffering from COVID during the treatment so that the mortality rate could be reduced further. He instructed to expedite the construction work of Ambedkar Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali.
On this occasion Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid Health Sciences University Faridkot Dr. Raj Bahadur, Vice Chancellor Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University Bal Krishan Sharma Kaushik, Principal Secretary Medical Education and Research DK Tewari, Special Secretary Rahul Gupta, Director Medical Education and Research Dr. Sujata Sharma and the Principal & Medical Superintendent of all Government Medical Colleges and Ayurvedic Colleges in the State of Punjab were present.
