Red Cross Society give financial assistance to 5 Girls

In a unique case Doda Red Cross Society came forward to help a family of seven members having no male member. The family was passing through a very tough time as only male member TilaK Raj of panchayat Bheja of Doda district committed suicide some time back. The victim left behind five daughters’ wife and mother. With the death of Tilak Raj who was the only bread earner the family went to a deep depression. However the case came to the notice of district administration and DDC directed Red Cross society to come forward. The red cross society prepared a case and decided to fix deposit Rs 50 thousand for each girl and also provide Rs 2 thousand monthly to the family. DDC while talking to media said that Rs 25 thousand have already been provided to family. DDC said that higher authorities have been also informed and sought some special assistance for the family. DDC said that he is looking forward to adjust at least one member of the family and provide some government job to her. “Tehsildar Bhadarwah has been directed to provide information as to how at least one member of the family can be provided job.
