Whereas, it has come to the notice of the Education Department that some of the Private Schools in UT, Chandigarh have fixed the last date for deposit of school fees in the last week of March 2020/1st week of April 2020.
In compliance with the orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs-Govt. of India and advisories issued from time to lime, the entire country is under complete lockdown for 21 days to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus by maintaining social distancing. Govt. of India has also issued different advisories to remain safe and maintain social distancing by staying at home.
Due to the epidemic situation, it is not possible for parents of the wards to deposit the school fee as per the schedule fixed by private schools.

In this regard, the Governments of Punjab. Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have already issued directions to defer the collection of ties by Private Schools till the reopening of the schools.
Keeping in view the above situation, all the recognized private schools, Govt. and Govt Aided schools are hereby directed to reschedule the last date for deposit of fee and funds for the session 2020-2021 (due in last week of March/April 2020).
The last date will be fixed by giving at least one month’s time to the parent after the re-opening of schools and no late fee will be charged.

In case is any complaint is received, strict action will be taken.
It is further clarified that in case any parent has already deposited the fee, no refund will be made by the school.
