Google Has Trouble Naming the New Android
Google’s Android OS has been a reliable and lovable platform for mobile users across the globe. One of it’s most endearing features is the quirky naming method – every Android Version up to 9 has been named after a dessert or confectionery item. These names include – Cupcake, Doughnut, Éclair, Fudge, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jellybean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, and Pie. These names also game with unique games that could be accessed by repeatedly tapping on the Android Version in the System Settings.
Unfortunately, this streak is now facing an end as Google has unveiled the 10th Version of its Android OS which is supposed to be named with the letter ‘Q’. As you may have guessed by now, there aren’t many catchy desserts that start with the letter ‘Q’, and hence doesn’t leave Google with a lot of naming choices – the Android OS Version is now just being referred to as Android 10.
However, there are still plenty of amazing features in the new build to get excited about such as Live Captions and a smoother Android experience. Stay Tuned for more updates.
