Chilapata Forest is a dense forest located 68 km away from Siliguri. It is advisable to travel in a jeep safari! The forest has rich flora and fauna here. This forest used to be the hunting ground for kings and still has many rhinos, elephants, deers, and peacocks. The main attraction here is Nalraja Garh! The fort is built long back in history which is considered to be the golden age of history. Near the forest one will find rare trees called Ramguna which is also known as bleeding trees because when they are cut red colour like blood flows out of the branches.
