Covid-19 cases rise to 490, most of India under lockdown
Covid cases in India rose to 490, the Union Health Ministry said that as much of the country locked down on Monday with the Centre warning of the legal action against them who are violating the restrictions which are enforced to curtail the pandemic, which has taken more than 15,000 lives globally.
On Monday, Punjab became the first to impose a curfew in the entire state with no relaxations and only exempted the essential services to prevent the infection, that had killed around seven people in the country till now. Prime Minister also asked the state government to ensure the rules and regulations of the lockdown.

There are four fatalities that have been reported earlier from Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Punjab, the ministry said. The total number includes 24 people who have been cured and discharged from the hospital. The Indian Council of Medical Research says that 18,383 samples have been tested till 10 am on Monday.
The total number of coronavirus positive cases in India includes 67 in Maharashtra, in which three are foreigners and Kerala has 67 with 7 foreign nationals, this data has been issued by the ministry. Along with this Delhi had reported 29 positive cases in which one is foreigner, 28 in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan reported 27 cases of which two are foreigners. There are many other states in which coronavirus cases have been found.
