Haryana CM asked the center to remove uncertainty around competitive exams
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asked the Central Government to remove the prevailing uncertainty around the various competitive and entrance examinations to be held. This has been done due to the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. He asked the government to take quick steps to remove the uncertainty around the dates of National Defence Academy (NDA)’s Combined Defense Services (CDS) which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), JEE Main, and NEET examinations conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
The JEE Main and NEET exams were postponed in March, due to the pandemic outbreak. JEE Main is the screening test for IIT entrance exam, JEE advances is the second level for the entrance exam of IIT, was scheduled in April, where else NEET which is being held for the admission for undergraduate courses in medical and allied subjects, was scheduled to be held on the first week of May.
Both the exams are going to be held in June, according to the new updates from the NTA. The lockdown has been extended till May 3.
