HP CM Presides over Video Conferencing with DCs, SPs and CMOs
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur directed the officers to ensure regular medical check-up of the people kept in institutional quarantine besides ensuring proper conditions of these quarantine centers.
Chief Minister said that a team of doctors must visit the quarantine centers so that people staying there gets better health care facilities.
Jai Ram Thakur said that aged people and chronic patients should be provided all the required health facilities and if required they should be shifted to health institutions.
He said that proper facilities such as separate washroom facilities must be ensured in these institutions. Chief Minister also mentioned that if required, hotels could also be requisitioned to be used as institutional quarantine centers. He said that this would instill confidence amongst the people staying in these centers.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the district administration must ensure that prior information is provided to the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions regarding the arrival of Himachalis coming from other parts of the country.
He said that the health workers should visit the houses of such persons before their actual arrival so that family members could be sensitized regarding social distancing.
CM said that the health workers and representatives of PRIs must also ensure that the house has a proper facility of isolation and a separate wash room. He said that in case this facility was not available the persons should be shifted into nearby panchayat Ghar, yuvak mandal bhawans, mahila mandals and community centers, etc.
Chief Minister said that the State Government has started the national scheme ‘One Nation One Ration’ Scheme in the State to facilitate the migrant laborers. He said that it must be ensured that the migrant laborers get free food grain for two months. Those laborers who do not have a ration card would also be provided free five-kilogram wheat or rice per person and one-kilogram pulse per month, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that efforts should be made to motivate the persons coming out from institutional and home quarantine to act as brand ambassadors to sensitize other people regarding the social stigma associated with it.
Chief Secretary Anil Khachi assured the Chief Minister the guidelines issued by the State Government would be adhered to strictly.
Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Director General of Police S.R. Mardi, Additional Chief Secretary Health R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretaries J.C. Sharma, Onkar Sharma, and Sanjay Kundu were present on the occasion.
