Haryana Fast-Tracks Gurugram’s 600-Bed Civil Hospital, Major Healthcare Boost on the Horizon

Haryana government has handed over the construction of the long-awaited proposed 600-bed Civil Hospital, Gurugram to Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) for speedy execution of the project to improve the healthcare infrastructure of the city.

The move is likely to help fast-track the development process and enhance healthcare services in one of the state’s fastest growing cities. The city of Gurugram is experiencing a tremendous urban growth and more than double the population in the last 25 years, which has made the need for sophisticated public healthcare systems greater.

The new hospital will have state-of-the-art medical facilities, specialized treatment units, an emergency department, and sophisticated diagnostic equipment, officials said. After completion of the hospital, as many as thousands of patients from Gurugram and adjoining districts will be able to avail quality medical care and there will be significant relief for the existing government health institutions.

The project is seen as an important step in enhancing the access to affordable healthcare. A massive government-owned hospital that will be able to cater for the needs of the healthcare system in the area, which is currently on the verge of being serviced by private health institutions, is what residents have long been looking for.

The government is hoping to avoid delays and ease construction on the project by handing it over to HSIIDC. The transfer is expected to help expedite the project’s completion on schedule.

The new facility will not only enhance patient care but also provide job opportunities for physicians, nurses, technicians, and other support staff.

With the addition of 600 beds at the Civil Hospital, the facility will be a landmark public health care facility providing cutting-edge and convenient medical care to the residents of Gurugram and beyond.
