Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Highlights Transparent Recruitment, Says 67,000+ Jobs Given on Merit

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to fair and transparent recruitment. He said the state has provided more than 67,000 government jobs since 2022. According to him, officials selected candidates strictly on merit.

Speaking at a ceremony to hand over appointment letters to 355 newly recruited employees, Mann said Punjab has created a transparent recruitment system. He added that the government has eliminated corruption and political influence from the hiring process.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s record on examination security. He said Punjab has not reported a single paper leak since 2022. In contrast, several states across the country have faced examination-related controversies during the same period.

Mann said the transparent system has increased trust among students and job seekers. Young people now compete for jobs based on their skills and performance. As a result, deserving candidates receive equal opportunities.

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of creating jobs within Punjab. He said the government wants to reduce youth migration by expanding employment opportunities. To support this goal, the state continues to invest in skill development, technical education, and vocational training programs.

In another major announcement, Mann said the government is working to regularize around 65,000 contractual employees. The move aims to provide greater job security and improve working conditions for thousands of workers across different departments.

The Chief Minister urged newly appointed employees to serve the public with honesty and dedication. He said efficient public services play a key role in Punjab’s growth and development.

Mann concluded by stating that transparency, merit, and accountability will remain central to his government’s recruitment policy. He expressed confidence that these efforts will help build a stronger and more prosperous Punjab.
