The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted a third raid at the residence of a youth in Punjab’s Mansa district as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged connections with Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. The operation was carried out with the assistance of local police, and officials spent several hours examining the premises and questioning family members.
According to sources, the investigation is focused on suspected online communications and digital activities that may indicate contact with foreign-based extremist elements. During the raid, NIA officials reportedly scrutinized electronic devices, documents, and other materials that could aid the investigation. However, no official charges have been filed against the youth so far.
Residents of the area said this is the third time in recent months that central agencies have visited the house in connection with the case. Security in the neighborhood was tightened during the operation, while investigators carried out their inquiries.
