Jalandhar: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to arrive in Jalandhar on Thursday, June 19, to lay the foundation stone of the Dhussi Bandh Road project. The administration has completed all preparations ahead of the event.
The area near the Sutlej River has been turned into a high-security zone as police teams have been deployed for security arrangements. Officials are closely monitoring the arrangements to ensure the smooth completion of the foundation stone ceremony.
The Dhussi Bandh Road project will include the construction of a 35-kilometre-long road, which aims to provide major relief to residents of the surrounding areas. The new road is expected to improve connectivity and make daily travel easier for people living near the river belt.
Local residents have welcomed the development, as the project can improve transportation facilities and support regional growth. The road will also help strengthen access between villages and nearby areas.
The authorities have made arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit and are ensuring proper security measures around the venue. The project marks an important infrastructure development initiative for the region and is expected to benefit thousands of people after completion.
