Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid rich tributes to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji on the occasion of his martyrdom day, describing the fifth Sikh Guru’s supreme sacrifice as a timeless symbol of courage, selflessness, and resistance against injustice. Addressing devotees and members of the Sikh community, the Chief Minister said Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s teachings continue to guide humanity towards peace, equality, and service.
CM Saini highlighted that Guru Arjan Dev Ji sacrificed his life while upholding the principles of truth, religious freedom, and human dignity. He noted that the Guru endured immense hardships but never compromised on his values, setting an example for future generations. According to the Chief Minister, the Guru’s martyrdom inspires people to stand firmly against oppression and injustice while maintaining faith, compassion, and harmony.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of following the ideals of seva (selfless service), brotherhood, and social welfare promoted by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. He said these values are highly relevant in modern society and can help strengthen unity and mutual respect among communities.
During commemorative events organized across Haryana, devotees remembered the Guru’s contributions to Sikhism and society. Special prayers, kirtans, and community service activities were held at various gurdwaras. Many people also participated in chabeel services, distributing sweetened water to the public as a mark of remembrance and devotion.
CM Saini urged citizens, especially the younger generation, to draw inspiration from Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s life and teachings. He stated that the Guru’s message of justice, tolerance, and humanity remains a guiding force for building a peaceful and inclusive society. The Chief Minister concluded by praying for the prosperity, harmony, and well-being of all citizens of Haryana and the nation.
