VC Briefs Governor on Kurukshetra University’s Achievements

Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva, recently met Haryana Governor and University Chancellor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh to present a comprehensive report on the university’s academic, research, and administrative achievements. During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the institution’s continued progress in higher education, innovation, and implementation of national educational reforms.

Prof. Sachdeva informed the Governor that Kurukshetra University has maintained its prestigious A++ accreditation from NAAC and has emerged as one of Haryana’s leading higher education institutions. He also briefed the Chancellor on the university’s successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, research initiatives, patent filings, and efforts to strengthen industry-academia collaboration.

The Vice-Chancellor further highlighted the university’s growing focus on scientific research, innovation, and skill-based education. He shared details of major academic events, including international conferences, science conclaves, and initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary learning among students. The Governor was also informed about measures being taken to improve teaching quality, digital infrastructure, and student support services.

Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh appreciated the university’s achievements and encouraged the administration to continue working towards excellence in education and research. He emphasized the importance of empowering youth through quality education and innovation in line with the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.” The Governor expressed confidence that Kurukshetra University would continue to play a significant role in shaping future leaders, researchers, and professionals for the nation.
