The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has given a final chance to candidates who missed the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) for the ongoing Group C recruitment. The decision will benefit hundreds of aspirants who could not attend the earlier test because of unavoidable reasons.
According to HSSC, only candidates who were officially marked absent in the previous PMT schedule can appear in this special round. However, the commission has clarified that this is a one-time opportunity. After this round, no fresh PMT dates or rescheduling requests will be accepted.
The revised schedule has been issued to ensure that eligible candidates do not lose their chance to secure a government job. Therefore, candidates should check their examination date, reporting time, and venue carefully. They should also download their admit card before the examination.
The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is an important stage of the recruitment process. It is compulsory for several Group C posts, especially in police, enforcement, prison, and other field-based departments. During the test, officials measure height, chest (where applicable), and other physical standards mentioned in the recruitment rules.
Only candidates who meet the required physical standards will qualify for the next stage. After the PMT, successful candidates will move to document verification and other recruitment procedures.
HSSC has advised applicants to carry their admit card, a valid photo identity card, and all required documents on the examination day. In addition, candidates should reach the examination centre well before the reporting time. This will help them complete verification without any difficulty.
Officials said the revised PMT schedule reflects the commission’s commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process. At the same time, it ensures that deserving candidates are not denied an opportunity because of genuine reasons for missing the earlier test.
Meanwhile, recruitment experts have welcomed the decision. They believe the move supports deserving candidates while keeping the recruitment process on schedule. Nevertheless, they have advised candidates not to miss this final chance, as HSSC has confirmed that no further extensions will be provided.
The Group C recruitment drive is one of Haryana’s biggest government recruitment campaigns. Thousands of candidates have applied for various vacancies across the state. Candidates should regularly visit the official HSSC website for the latest updates and follow all examination instructions carefully to avoid any last-minute problems.
