Haryana wants to put up 2.2 lakh systems on rooftops by 2026-27

Haryana wants to put up 2.2 lakh rooftop systems by the financial year 2026-2027.

The government of Haryana has made a plan to use rooftop solar power all over the state. They want to install 2.2 lakh rooftop systems by the end of the financial year 2026-2027. This plan is part of the PM Surya house : Free Bijli Yojana. The goal is to get people to make electricity and not rely so much on regular power sources.

Haryana government is also going to make all government buildings use power by December 2025. They looked at over 4,500 government buildings. Found that they have enough space on the roofs to support around 122 MW of solar capacity. The government will do this without using money from the government.

To get more people to use rooftop systems Haryana is giving extra money to families who are eligible especially  households. They will also get the subsidy from the government that is available under the PM Surya house scheme. The government is working with banks and power companies to make it easier for people to get loans and install systems. This is because getting loans and installing systems can be very hard.

Another important thing about this plan is that Haryana will make one Model Solar Village in every district. This will help people in villages use energy. This plan should help make clean energy, lower electricity bills and help Haryana meet its renewable energy and climate goals.

Haryana is making progress with this plan. They are committed to meeting their rooftop target by March 2027. They will keep working to get more people to install systems in their homes and in public buildings. The Haryana government is serious, about rooftop systems and wants to make sure they reach their goal of installing 2.2 lakh rooftop solar systems.
