Ambala Cantonment Station Master Dies in Road Accident on Delhi National Highway

A station master posted at Ambala Cantonment Railway Station lost his life in a tragic road accident on the Ambala–Delhi National Highway on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Murli Manohar Jha, who was serving as a Station Master at Ambala Cantonment Junction.

According to reports, the accident occurred on the national highway late Tuesday evening. Murli Manohar Jha sustained fatal injuries in the crash and passed away, leaving the railway fraternity and local community in mourning.

Originally a resident of Madhubani district in Bihar, Jha had been living with his family in the Railway Colony at Ambala Cantonment for several years due to his official posting. He is survived by his wife, Sangeeta, and their two sons, aged 19 and 12.

The tragic incident has deeply saddened colleagues and residents who knew him. Railway officials expressed condolences to the bereaved family and remembered him as a dedicated employee who had served the department with commitment.

Police have initiated an investigation into the accident to determine the exact cause of the collision. Further details are expected once the inquiry is completed.
