Woman Doctor Allegedly Duped of ₹1.5 Million After Marriage Based on False Claims

A woman doctor from Ambala has accused a man of cheating her out of ₹15 lakh after marrying her by allegedly providing false information about his background and financial status. The doctor filed a complaint with the police, who have started an investigation into the case.

According to the complaint, the accused claimed that he had a stable career and a strong financial position. Trusting these claims, the woman agreed to marry him. She later provided financial assistance and transferred money to him on several occasions.

The doctor alleged that she began noticing inconsistencies in his statements after the marriage. She also claimed that he had hidden important information before the wedding.

The complainant stated that she suffered a loss of around ₹15 lakh because of the alleged deception. Following her complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections related to cheating and other offences.

Police officials said they are examining documents and reviewing financial transactions linked to the case. Investigators are also recording statements from both parties to establish the facts.
